Recognized diplomas

In addition to the Diploma Supplement in Georgian, the Tbilisi Humanitarian Teaching University issues a European Supplement.

The European Diploma Supplement is an official document developed by the European Commission, the Council of Europe and UNESCO, through which countries mutually recognize higher education documents. The European Diploma Supplement was introduced by the 1997 Lisbon Convention, ratified by Georgia in 1999.

The European Diploma Supplement is issued in English, has the status of an official document of education and does not require further notarization. It will allow a THU graduate to:

• continue your studies at any European university,

• get a job abroad and in foreign companies and their representative offices.

When exporting a diploma for use in any foreign country, the diploma must first go through the confirmation procedure (affixing the "Apostille" stamp). To do this, you need to contact the House of Justice in Tbilisi at the address: 2 Sanapiro St, or to the branches of the House of Justice in other cities of Georgia.

When moving to another country, the diploma holder must undergo a nostrification procedure in accordance with the standards of the corresponding country.
