
International Student Competition “International Business Plans Competition”
Tbilisi Humanitarian University has been cooperating with the National University of Science and Technology of Bucharest for many years under the Memorandum.
On November 29, 2024, an international student competition called “International Business Plans Competition” was held online, organized by the University Center of Pitești (Romania). The project lasted three months and was attended by students of the Faculty of Economics, Business and Management.
The goal of the competition was to promote the development of entrepreneurship, business plan writing culture and skills to adapt to a competitive environment. Students from various universities abroad participated in the competition: National University of Science and Technology of Bucharest (Romania); Tbilisi Humanitarian University (Georgia); Istanbul Abahatin Zaimi University (Turkey); Lampung University (Indonesia); Gandhi Institute of Education and Technology (India) and Andrzej Fruz Modrzewski University of Krakow (Poland).
Students from the Faculty of Economics, Business and Management of Tbilisi Humanitarian University Lasha Gigauri, Leila Zeynalova, Yulia Goncharenko, Giorgi Dzindzibadze and Lasha Mikeladze were involved in the project.
The member of the Scientific Council of the competition was the Deputy Rector of THU, Doctor of Law, Professor Lia Tchiglashvili, elected from Tbilisi Humanitarian University, and the evaluation commission included professors of the same university, Doctor of Business Administration Irina Benia and invited lecturer Sofiko Jvarsheishvili. The Georgian student group was mentored by the Head of the International Relations Service of the same university, Associate Professor, Doctor of Economics Giorgi Kharshiladze.
The team members participating in the competition presented a business plan for a newly established startup. Among them, the presentation of THU students received the best rating. At the end, all participants of the international student competition were awarded the “International Business Plans Competition” certificate.
