Scientific workshop: Cybersecurity Analysis and Preventive Mechanisms in Business

On May 22–23, 2025, a two-day scientific workshop titled Cybersecurity Analysis and Preventive Mechanisms in Business was held organized by the International Relations Office of Tbilisi Humanitarian University and the Eastern European University. The event aimed to deepen participants’ knowledge of cybersecurity issues and promote dialogue on current challenges in the field. The workshop was designed for students, graduates, and employers from business-related disciplines.

The workshop was led by Mr. Ernst Schulten, a certified SAP® S/4HANA trainer from Aschaffenburg University (Germany). Mr. Schulten is a globally recognized expert in cybersecurity and business process analytics. He has conducted over 150 courses and training sessions for universities and companies around the world, including in the United States, United Kingdom, Spain, Switzerland, Finland, and the Middle East.

The workshop program covered a range of relevant and practical cybersecurity topics, including:

 

The importance of cybersecurity in business;

  • Common cyber threats faced by businesses;
  • Methods of cybersecurity analysis;
  • Preventive mechanisms for business protection;
  • Key challenges in implementing cybersecurity;
  • The role of cybersecurity frameworks;
  • Future trends in business cybersecurity;

The event was attended by final-year undergraduate students, master’s students, alumni, academic staff, and employers from the fields of business, economics, finance, and management.

The workshop contributed to bridging academic and practical perspectives, fostering interaction between students and employers, and encouraging collaborative reflection on emerging challenges in the cybersecurity landscape.

At the end of the workshop, all participants received official certificates, adding value to their professional development and future career planning.
