Between June 10-11, 2021, took place the 4th International Conference on Economics and Social Sciences (ICESS), with the theme "Resilience and Economic Intelligence Through Digitalization and Big Data Analytics", organized by Bucharest University of Economic Studies (Romania).

Dean of Faculty of Economics, Business and Management - Prof. Dr. Nona Gelitashvili and Invited lecturer M.Sc. Sofiko Dzhvarsheishvili have successfully perticipated at the Conference. Theme of their Presentation was: “The role of foreign direct investments in Georgian economy: statistical analyses”

The opening of the conference was on Thursday, June 10, at 11,00, and be followed by the plenary session. On Friday, June 11, during the parallel sessions organized by all faculties in University of Economic Studies, there were more than 160 scientific papers attended by more than 300 researchers, PhDs and private environs. Together with the 12 sections, 2 workshops were also be organized: New Tech in the financial markets (in collaboration with the business environment) and PhD Workshop in collaboration with EM Strasbourg France.

Participation in the conference and publication of a scientific article was funded by Tbilisi Humanitarian Teaching University. The article of Prof. Nona Gelitashvili ande Sofiko Dzhvarsheishvili will soon be published in the Proceedings of the Conference, which will be placed in various scientific databases.
