The participation of prof. Nona Gelitashvili at the international conference

In the period from July 31 to August 6, 2022, an international conference was held in Dubrovnik (Croatia) on the topic: "The Role of the Academic Community in thr Promotion of Peace." Prof. of Tbilisi Humanitarian Teaching University Nona Gelitashvili and Assoc. Prof. of Free University of Tbilisi Badri Gelitashvili made a presentation at the conference.

The conference was organized by the Croatian Association of the Club of Rome in cooperation with the University of Zagreb and the Dubrovnik Inter-University Center (IUC). The conference was dedicated to the role of the academic community in building the world; In particular, how scientists can effectively contribute to peace efforts and dialogue in conflict situations. The conference was interdisciplinary and brought together international academic and non-academic experts from various disciplines. The conference participants discussed various perspectives for achieving peace at the local, regional and global levels. The conference was divided into several sections and was held in a hybrid format.

The conference opened on Sunday, July 31, with a plenary session and continued on Monday with panel sessions. More than 50 scientific papers were presented, the authors of which are Researchers and PhD Candidates from different countries. All conference papers will be published in the internationally recognized academic journal in the field of international relations and/or in conference proceedings.
