German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Information Session at Tbilisi Humanitarian University.

Organized by the International Relations Office and the Research and Development Center of Tbilisi Humanitarian University (THU), within the framework of cooperation with DAAD

On 1 October 2026, at 15:30 (Tbilisi time), an online information session on the scholarship programs of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) for the 2026/2027 academic year will be held via Zoom for the staff, students, and alumni of Tbilisi Humanitarian University.

The session will provide a detailed overview of opportunities for studying in Germany and securing funding, including university summer language courses, master's scholarships in all disciplines, and research grants across a range of fields. Participants will also receive comprehensive guidance on preparing and submitting application documents.

Speaker

Dr. Nino Antadze – Coordinator of Study and Scholarship Programs at the DAAD Regional Office in Tbilisi. She has many years of experience advising Georgian students, researchers, and academic staff on pursuing higher education and obtaining scholarship funding in the Federal Republic of Germany.

Organizers

Prof. Nona Gelitashvili – Head of the International Relations Office at Tbilisi Humanitarian University. She has a long-standing track record in higher education and in the management of international projects. A graduate of the Technical University of Berlin, Professor Gelitashvili is herself a four-time recipient of international research grants, including DAAD grants, under which she conducted research at leading German universities.

Dr. Irma Mesiridze – Head of the Research and Development Center at Tbilisi Humanitarian University. She has extensive experience in higher education, research, international projects, and Erasmus+ academic mobility programs. She is also a higher education quality assurance expert for NCEQE (Georgia) and an international accreditation and authorization expert for FIBAA, AAC, and NQAAE.
